Any market that has too many players is generally high in competition. Pricing, delivery speed, variety, product exchange, offers are the common factors to compete with.
Now let's say a very talented designer wants to launch his new collection of dresses online.

How will he create awareness? Why will someone buy from him when there are key players in online fashion?
'Talented' is the main word here. Talented means his collection will be different than the rest in someway. His designs could have a different treatment, colours could be unique, fabric could be rear etc. Any talent stands out when it showcases something for the first time or rearly seen.
His ecom will catch attention because of his talent. Everything else like discount, delivery, pricing could be similar. The only aim for a start-up in the first few months is to create awareness.
With talent, consistency is key. Ensure the quality of the design just gets better with practice and perseverance.
